Set at the foot of the Langeberg mountains and nestled between the Komplotkoppe, 1 and a half hours drive from Cape Town you will find the Klip Lapa. The Klip Lapa is situated in Agtervinkrivier, 30kms between Robertson and Worcester. It is owned and run by Anna Eygelaar, who is well known in the area because of her love for, and genuine interest in, people. Ben Eygelaar, Anna’s husband built the lapa 12 years ago and they then decided to use it as a venue for weddings The Klip Lapa is the main hall for functions which is a rugged oval shaped riverstone and thatch building.

Soon after starting the business they realised the need for accommodation for the wedding guests which lead to Ben building nine rooms. Today the Klip lapa boasts accommodation for 88 guests. The majority of rooms are set in a “U” shape with a fully equiped informal lapa with 2 fireplaces. There is also a sparkling pool in the centre of the complex. Guests start arriving on the Friday afternoon and the bride and groom’s families spend time together socialising and getting to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere around the “braaivleis vure”

Weddings


We specialise in weddings and it is our passion and pride to be of assistance to our brides by helping them to make the best day of their lives, a memorable day!  There is no such thing in our vocabulary as “not possible”, whatever your dream is, we will help you realise it.

Accommodation


Our accommodation is very basic, but comfortable, spacious and clean. Each room has it’s own toilet, shower and basin. The majority of rooms are situated in a U-shape around a sparkling pool.

If you are looking for a meeting area that is relaxed, informal and tranquil, look no further than the Klip Lapa.  Organisations and corporations appreciates getting away from the hustle, bustle and pollution of the City where delegates can feel refreshed and rejuvenated after their conference.  We have accommodation for up to 80 delegates, sharing.

Transport


A luxury 60 seater bus with airconditioning and a TV,  is available for transport of wedding guests, conference delegates and other functions.  During the 2010 Wacky Wine festival in Robertson, our guests made use of the bus to transport them to all the venues where all the different festivities were hosted, thereby creating a (safe!)party atmosphere that [...]
